Sofia LaRosa is a multimedia artist currently pursuing her BA in Studio Art at San Diego State University. Her work is motivated by her curiosity of the human condition and the various states-of-being within the female body; whether it is through the physical, the memory, or happening experiences. She primarily uses painting, photography, and soft sculpture to navigate the complications of these “states” or experiences. Using organic and automatic approaches, she explores the relationship of the human condition with natural and bodily formations alongside symbolisms and texture.
